Privacy
Draft, October 2026. The apps are not distributed yet.
NoiseStorage collects nothing about you. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no crash reports sent on their own.
On your devices
- Your 24-word recovery phrase, in the device's Keychain, never synced to iCloud.
- The transfer queue and the search index, as encrypted databases.
- Files you downloaded, in the app's own storage.
On your server
Your files, the file list and the keys that open them are encrypted on your devices before they are sent. The server holds only those encrypted blobs, plus each device's public key and a hash of its token. The server is yours: the developer has no access to it and no copy of anything on it.
What others can see
- Your network and your hosting provider see the server's address and how much data moves, not what it is.
- Purchases on the iPhone go through the App Store. Apple is the seller. NoiseStorage receives no name, e-mail address or payment details; the app learns only whether Plus is active.
- The Mac app's update notice reads
https://noisestorage.com/version.jsononce a day. The request carries your IP address and the system's standard headers, and nothing that identifies you or your Mac. The site is hosted on GitHub Pages, whose own access logs and privacy statement apply.
If you contact support
We see what you send us and use it only to answer you. The app's "Copy Diagnostic Info" puts versions, states and counts on your clipboard, never file names, keys or addresses; sending it is up to you.
